The sign-up step of “How to buy your first USDT on Binance” originally said to scroll down for a “Referral ID” field, sometimes collapsed behind “Have a referral code?”, and to put the code in before continuing — placing it ahead of the verification code. After checking, it now reads: the first screen has only the email/phone box and no referral-code field; the code appears at the step after the account is created, is filled in automatically and shown as “Bound” when you arrive from this site’s link, can be changed if invalid, skipped if you have none, and cannot be changed once bound. "USDT vs USDC vs FDUSD" originally said FDUSD "operates under Hong Kong's stablecoin framework", which reads as if it were licensed. Corrected: the issuer First Digital is Hong Kong-based; Hong Kong's Stablecoins Ordinance took effect in August 2025 and the HKMA granted its first issuer licences in April 2026 (HSBC and Anchorpoint). As of our September 2026 check, First Digital is not on the licensed list.
An early draft of "What is FDUSD" described the issuer loosely as "a Hong Kong company." Corrected to First Digital Labs (First Digital), with a note that reserves and compliance are whatever its official disclosures say.
The first version of the tool used a single fixed fee figure, which could read like a precise live rate. Changed to a fee range clearly marked "an estimate, actual per Binance's page," to avoid false precision.
"What is a stablecoin depeg" originally quoted an exact low for USDC at the time. To avoid giving a false "I watched it tick by tick" impression, it now reads "fell to around $0.87 and re-pegged a few days later" — a vaguer, checkable statement.
